Call for abstracts: Queering Religion, Religious Queers
Abstracts of potential chapters for an edited collection are invited to consider the intersections (and contradictions) between religious and sexual identities, and their possible interplay with other forms of identity, groups, and contexts. If you would like to contribute to the collection, please send your abstract (Word document) along with a brief biography to Ria Snowdon (snowdonr@lsbu.ac.uk) and Yvette Taylor (taylory@lsbu.ac.uk) by 06 January 2012. First draft chapters (8,000 words) due January 2013.


Seminar: Modern Girlhoods: Growing up in the 21st Century
Brunel University, 8th Feb 2012

The day aims to encompass a range of interdisciplinary approaches, and we would be keen to bring scholars and practitioners together from : youth work, education studies, youth studies, sociology, social policy and social work. The sessions aim to provide space to enable participants to engage with a range of debates from the field, and we seek papers/ seminars/ posters and workshops.
Abstracts of up to 300 words and a brief biography should be sent to Fiona.Cullen@brunel.ac.uk by Friday 11th December 2011 at the latest.
